Taste of the high life: Inside luxurious lodge capsule hanging 1,200ft in the air on Peruvian mountainside
This is the worlds first hanging lodge suspended 1,200ft off the ground in Perus Sacred Valley of Cusco.
Boasting stunning panoramic views, the Skylodge Adventure Suites capsules can fit up to eight people and each of the three luxurious cabins come complete with four beds, a dinning area and a private bathroom with an ecological toilet.
Intrepid travelers have to climb the mountain to get to the capsule, via a secure climbing path which is fit for beginners, and are rewarded with 300 degree view of the majestic Sacred Valley once at the top.
Measuring 24ft in length and 8ft in height and width, the pods are hand crafted out of aerospace aluminum and weather resistant polycarbonate.
It costs around USD$450 per person for a nights stay, and the price includes a sunrise breakfast enjoyed from the comfort of your personal capsule, as well as a gourmet dinner served up with wine.
At the end of the stay, guests get back down the mountain via one of seven zip lines.
Skylodge Adventure Suites became the worlds first hanging lodges after launching in June 2013. It was opened by a small company called Natura Vive, a group of young entrepreneurs whose philosophy was to create a mountain experience that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy.
