Keith Davison, a 94-year-old retired district court judge, lost his wife, Evy, of 66 years, NBC News reports.
With Evy gone, Davison’s house was unusually silent. So he decided he would build a pool in his backyard, and invite the neighborhood to use it.
“I knew they’d come,” he said, laughing. With all of the kids and parents around, Davison wouldn’t be lonely anymore. “I’m not sitting by myself, looking at the walls,” he added.
