More than three decades after the release of the blockbuster smash Top Gun, Cruise is back as fighter plane pilot Pete Mitchell, now a captain. A two-minute teaser trailer is filled with action sequences that will excite fans without giving away too much of the plot. Practically all of the scenes focus on Cruise at the controls of a jet with stunning photography and camera angles. The trailer begins with co-star Ed Harris running down Cruise’s CV as Mitchell and asking why he is just a captain and not a two star admiral. The camera cuts to cruise giving one of frademark boyish grins. It’s already been revealed Mitchell is the new flight instructor of the eponymous Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School.
