Even by Japanese standards though, this tiny Tokyo apartment is a lot smaller than usual (video)

This super tiny Tokyo apartment may just be one of the smallest places we have seen so far, yet at 8 m2 (82 ft2) it still provides a perfect space to allow Emma (originally from Australia) to live a big life in Japan.

At only 8 square meters (82 square feet) this simple home is so small that it’s occupant Emma is able to reach out and touch both walls. Thankfully, some clever design elements allows the micro apartment to be a very functional and cosy home.

Australian expat Emma, otherwise known as Tokidoki Traveller on YouTube, says that she loves how the ¥‎69,000 (US$600) per month apartment with it’s tiny space challenges her to think more and be more creative about making the most of the space around her. It keeps her creative and allows her to express herself in her own space.
