At home in Titusville, Florida, USA, Mena Lebrum is in for the surprise of a lifetime, as her grandson, Nathan, has flown back secretly after two years away to see her. But it seems Nana has forgotten to put her glasses on, so the surprise plan falls down the drain.
Her relatives take her outside and point towards the surprise, but Mena doesn’t quite get the hint. Age can do that to you. The atmosphere remains, however, as the septuagenarian looks straight up to Nathan and down to the floor, not getting what all the fuss is about.
The corporal’s mom tells him to go closer, but his Nana still doesn’t understand where the surprise is. Is it on the ground somewhere? Mena can’t take anymore of this nonsense, so she waves her hand as she turns to go back inside. Nathan can’t let his surprise go to complete waste, so he goes straight in front of her and taps her on the shoulder.
Mena took a few more second to recognize the familiar face under his civilian garb, before screaming in utmost joy and throwing herself in his arms.
